Important Dates

Early Walk-In Voting/Late Registration: Monday, July 30 - Thursday, August 9, 2018
Request For Mail/Absentee Ballot: Saturday, August 4, 2018
Mail/Absentee Ballot Deadline: Saturday, August 11, 2018
Primary Election: Saturday, August 11, 2018 (Polls are open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm)
General Election: Tuesday, November 6, 2018 - (Polls are open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm)


If you missed the July 12 application deadline, late registration is available at Early Walk In Voting locations in your county during the following dates:
Primary - Monday, July 30, 2018 - Thursday, August 9, 2018 (excluding Sundays)
General - Tuesday, October 23, 2018 - Saturday, November 3, 2018 (excluding Sundays)
Or, on Election Day at your assigned polling place.

Find Your Polling Place

Your polling place and the candidates you will vote for are determined by your residence address. You can locate your polling place using the Find My Polling Place Locator found here. OR, you can find your polling place by calling the State of Hawaii Office of Elections at 808-453-VOTE (8683).

Preparing To Vote

Non-photo ID is requested. Alternatively, voters can recite their address at their polling place. Valid forms of ID include:
- Valid Hawaii Driver's License or ID card
- Current utility bill
- Current bank statement
- Current government or other paycheck
Any other government document that shows your name and address. If you are having problems getting an approved form of voter ID, you can call VoteRiders' toll-free voter ID hotline at 844-338-8743 or contact Spread the Vote for assistance at www.spreadthevote.org.
